Forgive Me Father for I Have Sinned.

In order to celebrate the new spanish law allowing gay people to get married I produced a piece of work called "Forgive me Father for I have sinned".

In this piece of work the image of the Pope is printed in the colours of the rainbow flag, the symbol of the gay pride.

The image of the Pope is then destroyed or reused to make confetti. That confetti is then used to celebrate the new marriages.

Para celebrar la Ley española que permite a parejas homosexuales casarse he creado esta pieza llamada "perdóneme Padre porque he pecado".

En esta pieza la imagen del Papa ha sido imprimida en los colores de la bandera del Arcoiris, que simboliza el orgullo Gay.

La imagen del Papa es entonces reutilizada/ destruida para crear confetti. Este confetti es después utilizado para celebrar estan nuevas bodas.

DESIRE

A piece of work that works with the idea of desire.

The work shows a piece of wood that has a similar shape to a urinal.

It is made from pieces of a closet/wardrobe, representing the closeted person and his/ hers frustated desires.

Esta es una pieza que trata de hablar de la idea del deseo.

La pieza nos muestra lo que puede ser un urinal.

Esta creado por piezas de armario, representando así a las personas que están "en el armario" y sus frustados deseos.

In this piece of work I am trying to establish relations between religion and desire. The drawings are made with charcoal in pieces of wood.

I have choosen images from different periods of time but they are all religious images of Jesus or Saints.

Next to them or mirroing them I have placed another piece of wood. This time the wood has been burnt, symbolising how religion has used fire to erradicate sin throught history.

En esta pieza he tratado de establecer conexiones entre religion y deseo. Los dibujos están realizados con carboncillo sobre piezas de madera.

He escogido imágenes de diferentes periodos pero todos ellos representan a Jesús o Santos. Al lado de estos dibujos , o delante en forma de espejo, he puesto otra pieza de madera, esta vez la madera ha sido quemada simbolizando el uso que la Iglesia/Religión ha dado al fuego para erradicar pecados o pecadores.
